There are many types of competitions in Germany and farther afield. In some cases, you have to qualify, in others, all you need to do is register. For all competitions offered by the adh (German University Sports Federation), registration is handled by us.

The German University Championships (DHM) are the flagship of university sports at national level. Every year, the adh organises around 40 German University Championships in over 30 sports.

What makes the DHM special is that amateur and recreational athletes compete alongside members of local and national sports teams. Furthermore, it is not just about comparing performance at a high level, but also about combining aspects of competitive sport with the students' interests in meeting, communicating and exchanging with each other.

The German University Championships are organised by adh member universities throughout Germany and enable students and staff to participate as individual starters or in teams.

There are also ‘open’ tournaments, such as the adh Open or the adh Trophy, and many international competitions. Unfortunately, we cannot always list all events in detail here, so we would like to refer you to the adh website [de] for detailed information on the individual events and announcements.
